SEFAR PowerHeat
The PowerHeat fabrics are woven fabrics usually consisting of PET and electrically conductive filaments. PowerHeat has the following properties:
Customer-specific designs
Quick heating up due to low mass
No hotspots
Electrically insulated
Energy efficient: high achievable temperatures by given power
Homogeneous temperature distribution at surface
Up to 1000 W/m2 heating power at air
Several kW/m2 heating power feasible in liquids and composites
Light-weight (< 90 g/m2, filament diameters 40 – 80 μm)
High air permeability (> 8000 l/m2/s, depending on fabric design)
Soft: can be placed closely to surface that needs to be heated up
Compatible to injection mould processes
Can be pleated
Very quick heating-up curve
