Flat bed printing
 
Flat screenprinting is used to print on flexible or rigid substrates such as paper, cardboard, films, ceramic tiles, plastic, wood, textiles, etc.
 
In flat screenprinting, the stencil is fixed and it remains stationary, as does the substrate. The squeegee moves over the stencil and presses it down onto the substrate

Textiles are printed roll-to-roll; there is no screen lift-off in this case, and the stencil stays in direct contact with the substrate instead.
In certain cases, a magnetic squeegee is used instead of a normal one to print textiles. The magnetic squeegee consists of a round steel component which is moved below the substrate by a magnet
