Closures or mechanical seams that can be closed and opened easily are important devices, to make drum filter belts endless after installation on the machine.
The following systems are available:
Metal pin seam
There are different types according strength required and roll diameter. They are the standard solution for e.g. DLW fabrics used in drum filters.
Sewn mono pin seam
This is a closure made from open-weave fabric, sewn to the belt. This is a popular solution for dryer belts.
Top seal PU-closure
Closures are made of PU (thermo plastic polyurethane), a user-friendly sysem for drum filter.
Advantage: flexible, tight (no over- or underlap necessary).
