| Nylon fabrics were the first monofilament synthetic fibres to be used in screen printing. Nylon fabrics are extremely tough, which makes them particularly suitable for printing abrasive media like ceramic and reflective/fluorescent inks.
The high elasticity of these fabrics makes it easier to print onto uneven substrates (packaging, 3-D objects).
Our polyamide range includes SEFAR PA 1000 - an elastic nylon fabric for uneven substrates, and SEFAR PA 2000 - an even more abrasion resistant fabric for extremely long print runs.
The excellent properties of both fabrics make them primarily suitable for the printing of ceramics and 3-D objects.
How does our Sefar fabric nomenclature work, what weave types are available and what do they look like, and how is the mesh opening defined ? If you are interested in the answers to these questions, please read Sefar's explanation of fabric geometry.
Do not hesitate to request our literature, it contains a wealth of further useful information about Sefar and Sefar products. |
